ITA*, the bespoke and free-of-charge booking service has hailed its recent venue showcase, Miniopoly, a resounding success.
The event, which took place at the award-winning Stationer’s Hall, in Ave Maria Lane in the City, welcomed over 400 event bookers to the show where visitors could discover more about over 40 venues from ITA*’s Little Black Book ranging from ZSL London Zoo to the Museum of London; The In & Out to Clothworkers’ Hall.
Claire Pastore, National Venues Sales Manager, explained: “The event was a huge success in terms of the number and quality of the visitors that came along, and the huge value of sales leads that were generated. The event produced over 350 quality sales leads worth in excess of £1m and we’re now working hard to convert as many of these as possible. The leads are also a good reflection on the current buoyancy of the events and venues sector.
“Over 60% of attendees were new to ITA* and the venues exhibiting all commented that they were surprised and delighted with the quality of enquiries. London venues did well but even those outside the Capital reported strong enquiries levels such as Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Birmingham Botanical Gardens. It was a really enjoyable day all round and given the excellent feedback we gained from both venues and visitors, we will definitely run an event like this again.”
As well as finding out more about these prestigious livery halls, visitor attractions and conference venues, visitors had the opportunity to meet with and discuss ideas with a selection of ITA*’s event suppliers including:
- Nails Inc were on hand to provide mini-manicures and 120 people took advantage of this pampering.
- Bluehat Group provided opportunities to attempt Guinness World Record challenges throughout the day and 170 visitors attempted these.
- Event Prop Hire revealed a room transformation that converted one of the rooms at Stationer’s Hall into a park complete with grass, a 4m high tree, postbox, balustrades and fencing.
The Miniopoly theme was loosely based on the board game and on arrival, event bookers discovered a giant-sized Miniopoly board on which they were the games pieces and each venue was represented around the game board. Over 25 prizes were won and delicious food was on offer throughout the day, compliments of ITA*’s catering partners, Chester Boyd and Ampersand.
