Unique industry charity event at Silverstone

The Silverstone Wing Conference & Exhibition Centre is to play host to a unique event industry charity event on 25th May, as four teams of event industry luminaries take to the track in a sponsored endurance cycle ride fundraiser.

Utilising the 3.66-mile circuit for the race and the state-of-the art event facilities for the support teams and logistics, the race will be an endurance ride to see which team can cover the greatest distance in three hours.
Four teams will be headed up by leading event industry figures Trevor Foley of tfconnect, riding for Events for Namuwongo, Laura Moody of Blondefish riding for Walk Tall and Nick Grecian of Gallowglass representing Howards Way Walk. The fourth team will be from Silverstone itself.
Speaking about the event Laura Moody said: “This is a wonderful initiative. Cycling is hugely popular amongst event professionals and being able to ride on the Silverstone Circuit with the support of the events team and the Silverstone Wing itself is very exciting.”
Chris Zachar, Head of Sales at Silverstone Circuits said: “We are delighted to be hosting this event. It’s all about good causes in the event industry and makes great use of the flexibility and usability of the venue and event spaces."
